Who we are
This website is run by Miraculous Equation Unip. Lda, Rua 25 de Abril 292 1A, 4710-913 Braga, Portugal. You can reach us about privacy at info@speakclearlymethod.com.
What we collect
Nothing is required to download a guide. Every guide and every free PDF on this site downloads straight away. We do not ask for an email address first, and we do not know which files you took.
If you ask us to tell you when a new guide is published, we collect the email address you type in, and which page you were on when you asked. On the “my language isn’t listed” page there is one optional extra box where you can tell us your first language. It is optional in the real sense: leave it empty and the form still works.
If you write to us through the form on the Connect page, we collect the email address and the message you type in, and the page you sent it from. We use them to answer you and for nothing else, and we keep them only as long as the conversation needs. That form needs no JavaScript, so it works in a text browser or with scripts turned off.
When you visit, our hosting provider records standard web-server information, such as the page you asked for and your approximate location by network.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. This site sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing in your browser — including your language choice, which is why you pick it again each visit.
The typeface used on this site is served from this site. Nothing about your visit is sent to a font or content-delivery service.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Your email address: because you asked us to write to you. You can change your mind at any time, and the next paragraph says how.
- Server logs: because a website cannot be operated or kept secure without them.
We do not send marketing email. The only message we would ever send is the one you asked for: a note that a new guide exists. There is no mailing list behind this site and no automated sending. If that ever changes we will ask you first, and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.
To be taken off the list, email info@speakclearlymethod.com and we will delete your address. We are telling you plainly that this is a person reading a mailbox rather than an automatic button, because that is what it is.
Who else sees it
- Hostinger — our email provider, which carries the message telling us you asked to hear about new guides, and hosts the mailboxes we read and reply from.
- Cloudflare — our hosting provider, which serves this website.
- Resend, and Amazon SES underneath it — the services we use to send email to you: the note that a new guide is published, and replies about your account. That processing happens in the European Union (Amazon SES, eu-west-1, Ireland).
We do not use them to send marketing to people who have not asked for it, and they do not use your address for anything of their own.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Buying a book
Books on this site are sold by Amazon, not by us. Every buy link on this site takes you to amazon.com. Amazon takes the order, charges you, sends your receipt and delivers the file. We never see your payment details, your delivery address, or which books you bought. What Amazon does with that information is covered by Amazon’s own privacy notice, not this one.
If that ever changes — if one day you can buy directly from this site — this notice will say what we collect at the checkout, why we are allowed to hold it and how long we keep it, at the point that becomes true and not afterwards.
How long we keep it
- Your email address: until you ask us to delete it.
- A message you send through the form: as long as answering it needs, then deleted.
- Server logs: a short period, then deleted or aggregated.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to info@speakclearlymethod.com and we will answer within one month.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change matters, we will say so on the site.
